The replacement tank LRA is designed for Nissan Patrol GQ 4x4. It replaces the original tank and increases the fuel capacity to 146 litres while retaining the standard filler point, the original exhaust and the spare wheel location.
Positioned behind the rear axle, this tank is compatible with both petrol and diesel versions of the Patrol GQ, in estate, chassis cab, and Coil springs helical and short wheelbase according to the years indicated by LRAThe assembly instructions specify the reuse of the original gauge/suction assembly, as well as the vent valve of the original tank.
Since 1989, LONG RANGE AUTOMOTIVE designs and manufactures its tanks in Australia. Each model is developed for a specific vehicle application to optimize available volume while respecting the chassis's mechanical constraints. The tanks LRA are made of 2 mm T125CQ steel. They incorporate internal baffles to limit fuel movement, as well as an expansion chamber. Before being sold, they undergo pressure tests and several quality control checks. Tests are also carried out on dozens of kilometers of heavily degraded tracks. These tests verify the tank's resistance to vibrations, repeated twisting, impacts, and the stresses of prolonged off-road use.
